two weeks ago you sent us an email condemning wendy and i for "selling out the scene" and you also said some other crazy stuff on your blog that i’d rather not repeat. i am not sure if this friend request is legit or if it’s someone else in your band who’s reaching out to us and doesn’t know how you feel. so i am not going to add you until we clear this up.
YEAH I DID
I THOUGHT THIS WAS ANOTHER WOODSTOCK OF HC SCAM
from a personal standpoint, i could care less as between you and me, drama just sells the show.
an but from a professional standpoint, i think it sucks that you struck first and asked questions later and for someone who supposedly has such high moral standards regarding this scene of ours
I LOVE IT/ I LIVE IT - a scene that wendy and i were very much a part of when you were still a child - getting that email was a bit sad on you part.
IM ALMOST 39 IM NOT SO YOUNG ANYMORE YOUNG AT HEART YES HA HA
we worked our asses off to pull that show together and we did everything possible to insure that there was no sell out. we did everything 100% DIY and with nothing but love in our hearts. no corporate sponsorship. no vans warped tour. no liquor companies. no banners advertising anything. the only « sell out » we had that night was in terms of attendance and we took great pride seeing the smiling faces that came to the show to support all those bands - who all got paid! - and see their old friends who they hadn’t seen in years.
GREAT IM VERY HAPPY YOUR KEEPIN IT REAL IN 2008
IVE BEEN SINCE 1992 THE BIRTH OF 25 TA LIFE
say what you will but wendy and i made nyhc history saturday night and we take great pride in the fact that - as johnny stiff said - this was the first gathering of this size that didn’t involve either a funeral or a gang fight.
JOHNNY STIFF IS THE REAL DEAL YO
GREAT YO IM HAPPY I GOT YOUR BACK
so clear this up so we can move forward. or not.
CLEARED UP I CLEARLY MAD A MISTAKE I WAS DEFENDING HARDCORE/PUNK ROCK WHAT WE LUV
