Ieperfest News Update 9 March 2006
We are happy to announce the first list for Ieperfest 2006. So far 18 bands have confirmed their presence. Some names will sound familiar, others you might never have heard of. It has always been the idea of Ieperfest to offer a wide range of different sorts of bands and this year’s bill will be no different. For many tour organisers and bigger bands, August seems oh so far away and they couldn’t be bothered too much about late summer yet. We at the Ieperfest HQ however have been talking with many more fine groups and hope to be announcing more names in the next weeks & months.

There is no pre-sale yet & it will not start before June, so please be patient.

We have a huge list of bands that wanna play the fest and there is no need to contact us on that matter. We have a good idea of the bands we wanna book. The harder you work for your band, the bigger the chance is that you will make it to the Ieperfest bill some day. Thank you.

c’est surtout ça je dirais 
gros point noir : la bas personne se bourre la gueule, enfin pas la majorité, je prefere le crusty-punk festival bas normand, dans la MJC de giberville, organisé par someday not soon.

oui, moi ces groupes là me plaisent en tout cas.
puis bon c’est quand même classe le ieper, c’est pas trop cher et l’affiche est
relativement variée (faut pas oublié que le kiff principal des organisateurs c’est
le metal/hxc, et ils font quand même des efforts au niveau de la programation).
puis c’est pas l’affiche définitive non plus…
après j’avoue que ca dépend des gouts et qu’on est quand même plus motivé
quand on habite dans le nord que quand on habite en Bretagne (c’est plus loin
quoi)…
enfin moi si je fais un fest dans l’année, c’est ypres de toute façon.

FIRST ALLIANCE (B) Local bone breaking beatdown metalcore in the vein of HATEBREED, FULL BLOWN CHAOS, IRATE, etc.

MINUS45DEGREES (B) Antwerp’s craziest! For fans of A PERFECT CIRCLE, EVERY TIME I DIE, MACHINE HEAD, CONVERGE, etc. Genet rcs.
MONOCHROME (D) Very much hyped, soft & elegant Berliner mellow-indie-emo-pop with strong hardcore/punk/post-hardcore roots.
