For immediate release:
Bad Taste Records signs Lagwagon frontman Joey Cape for a solo album
After working very sporadically together over the past 11 years it gives us great pleasure to announce our first full length project with Lagwagon frontman Joey Cape.
The first thing we did together was when we put a Lagwagon track (“Wind In Your Sails”) on the compilation album “Quality Punk Rock” in 1996 and since then we have promoted a number of Lagwagon gigs in Scandinavia, Joey has visited our studio twice for acoustic sessions (one of the songs he recorded actually ended up as a hidden track on the Lagwagon album “Resolve” and another couple of songs from these sessions will be released on an upcoming compilation album next year) and we almost released a Logh album together on the record label Joey used to run – My Records…
Having written the majority of the music & lyrics for both Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut, Joey Cape is an extremely talented songwriter and we feel honored to be a part of his first solo album. This is not his first acoustic project however. A couple of years ago he released an acoustic split album with No Use For A Name frontman Tony Sly.
The album is scheduled to come out at some point in April 2008 and we will be announcing more details on it shortly.
