I am Yul from PIOPROD, i’m actually booking the european summer tour of the french ska-punk band P.O.BOX, and i write you because we are in dire need of your help.
This european tour will take place from friday the 2nd of july to saturday the 31th of july 2004.
The guys are ready to hit all the places we can.
P.O.Box is an 8-piece ska-punk band that has a very strong socially engaged aspect to their music.
They’ve done more than 100 gigs in europe (france, belgium, germany, luxembourg, the netherlands, the uk…), since the begining of the band in 2001, toured belgium during the summer 2002, and are back from their european tour from this last july 2003.
They’ve recorded a first demo-cd, that has been sold at more than 1.300 copies, and have just released a split-cd with the belgian of Madskat, out on PioProd (F) and Cowpie (B), already sold to 800 copies until now.

We would be extremely pleased if you could book a show, spread the news or assist in any other way like giving other contacts and such. Your efforts are deeply appreciated.
The booking process is still in its early stage, so a lot of dates are available (see below). But some organizers already gave me their acknowledge for shows (lithuania, slovenia, the netherlands…), i’m just waiting for other booked gigs in the area to schedule the best tour for the band.
If you are interested in booking a show, the songs of the latest split-cd are available on the website http://www.pobox.fr.st , download section, mp3. Some videos are also available, if ever you’d like to see what the live performance of P.O.BOX is.
The general recompensation for booking the band for a show in your area would be 300 euros, but the price is highly negotiable depending on the situation.
The band will bring its own backline, and it would be deeply appreciated if you could provide the band and its entourage with food (veggie and non-veggie) and drinks the night of the show, as well as a place to sleep (a carpet is cool!).
We leave it up to the organisation to freely choose the other bands on the bill but i can say on behalf of the band that we will not tolerate any racist, homophobic, sexist or in any other way intolerant club or band. The band will execute its right not to play if any such of the conditions would take place during a show.
