Hello to all of you, it’s been awhile. Actually 6 weeks since we have updated you out there on what we’ve been up to. Well to answer your many inquiries, YES, we have been recording the follow up to Keep Your Heart. In fact we are actually done the record. We will be trickling TONS of updates about it out into the world soon, for now here’s a little story about a random, spontaneous show we decided to play one night while we were recording in Asbury Park.

We had gotten so excited about what we were putting to tape that we decided to call our friends at The Asbury Lanes and see if the local bands playing on that Wednesday would mind if we jumped up and played some new songs. Our Lanes buds said sure thing, the bands would allow us to jump up on their gear and give the Wed crowd a sample of the new record. Below are some pics of the extremely fun show, played to a few unsuspecting patrons, and a little blurb about what this fella from absolutepunk.net thought of the show…

Following a long day in the studio, and probably a longer day drinking, The Loved Ones decided to go to Asbury Lanes with their producers Pete Steinkopf and Brian Keinlen from The Bouncing Souls. At the end of the punk rock show at the lanes …The Loved Ones decided to perform their new record in its entirety for the 20-30 patrons still hanging out drinking…they blasted though a set and everyone there watched and listened intently. the weren’t playing their instruments, so watching them adjust to playing other people’s instruments was astounding in itself…the new material is a passionate and revealing portrayal of rock and roll, properly executed by punk rock veterans. If you were there, awesome, if you weren’t…you missed an incredible show.

Title and release date announced! We’re heading to Europe!!
We are excited to announce the name of the forthcoming Loved Ones record. It’s called Build & Burn, and will be in stores February 5th, 2008. Our friends Pete Steinkopf, Bryan Kienlen, and Bob Strakele produced it, Bob engineered and mixed it, and Emily Lazar mastered it. Our buds from The Hold Steady Franz Nicloay and Tad Kubler played on it as well and it came it out sounding great We all worked extremely hard on it and can’t wait for you all to hear these songs.
We’ll be playing some of the songs from the album on our upcoming tour of the UK, Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal. The dates are below, we can’t wait to come back over the pond, it’s been almost a year already!! See you all in a few days…

Bon fais chié j’ai pas trouvé de thread pour le concert de paris et ca me soule de le creer pour vous annoncer ca…

Le concert est annulé ! Grace a la bonne volontée de la JAVA qui annule le concert du 13 novembre sous pretexte du début des greves…

je trouve ca super…

je savais que c’était des cons…mais a ce point la…alors que la greve ne commence qu’a 20h…logiquement en plus…bref…

tas de connard.

nous meme avec la grève, on annule pas un concert… ils ont l’air fort sympathique au JAVA… putain en plus dans le contrat pour TLO que j’ai signé, si t’annule le concert tu raques en plus…
c’est quand même pas mal Bordeaux finalement…
