MILLIONS (Seventh Rule Records/Chicago)
MILLIONS a déjà partagé de nombreux concerts avec YOUNG WIDOWS // RACEBANNON // THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES…
PINK FLAMINGOS (Le Havre)
Just support or eat shit.
EAMON MCGRATH (White Whale Records/Edmonton)
It’s pretty busy on the road (…or the rails?) so we don’t have as much time as we’d always like to update this, but we’re doing our best from a Starbucks in Paris right now. This is the only place we can get Wi-Fi before we catch our train to Germany so we’re taking the ticket to lametown, close-to-home North American tourist bullshit. So here comes an update…
We got to Le Havre around 5:00p.m. and checked into the venue where we met Rulio. Rulio is a pretty crazy guy. His last name is “Salad.” No kidding. Not only did the bar make me play upstairs without a PA (which was pretty rad, everybody shut up and we sold one CD) but Rulio didn’t pay me a dime and him and his friends fucked with Peter when he passed out, took a video of him getting mooned in his sleep. Not really sure what fun there is in that and needless to say we were kind of pissed off. There will be the x-rated video blog available in torrent form soon. These shows have all been really well attended and we’ve met some pretty cool people.
It was a good night though, we swam in the ocean, drank some great french beer, played pool and partied with the guys in Millions who are all friends with Wolf Eyes. Apparently I’m fluent in French when I’m hammered because everybody understood whatever gibberish was coming out of my mouth, Peter too. We got by and made some friends.
Hungover and frustrated we make our way to the train station where all the trains to Paris are delayed by at least an hour because there was “an accident involving a person” which means that someone probably jumped in front of a train. Yikes. Not sure what the details were, and I didn’t want to ask, but needless to say that is really sad. It totally thwarted our schedule too and now we have to find a different way to the show tomorrow and take a night train to Wittenberg. My head is pounding and I’m about to eat a bottle of Advil.
Here’s the video for Le Havre. Rulio is the guy at the very end, further explanations aren’t necessary.
